Mr. Ndlovu expects Nweti to be nimble, flexible, profitable but most importantly to punch above its weight by making the right choices.

Our resolve to relentlessly pursue our goals and remain positive in the midst of challenges.

Our foresight and fortitude will always illuminate our possibilities into reality.

Our Executive Chairman, Mr. Joshua Ndlovu is a highly driven entrepreneur who not only had the vision to create Nweti construction amongst various other ventures, but has demonstrated the drive to work tirelessly to fulfill his vision.

Mr. Ndlovu has over the years overcome many an obstacle to create this thriving Nweti business in a tough, cyclical and volatile industry. Mr. Ndlovu has consciously and deliberately associated himself with the best and appointed the best brains to help him realize his vision.

In 2010 Mr. Ndlovu worked for Degsa Consulting Engineers where he obtained experience regarding the ins and outs of construction. As part of his self- development Mr. Ndlovu completed a Diploma in Project Management in the Built Environment in 2011. This ensured that his entrepreneurial spirit is nurtured from a dream to a reality of the successful business that Nweti is today and will continue to be going forward.

Nweti itself was registered in 2008 and found its humble beginnings in maintenance work and small scale repairs, evolved into a small contractor to a key player and contributor in the construction sector. Under the leadership of Mr. Ndlovu, Nweti has grown to over R100m turnover per annum, with a CIDB grade of 8CEPE; 6GBPE.

Mr. Ndlovu’s value proposition and his attitude in business and in life is captured by the name Nweti. In his own words Nweti is a moon and it signifies the following to him:

  • Foresight – a moon is forever in motion & orbits the earth and the sun to reach light. The Nweti business requires foresight to separate itself from competitors and to see light in fulfilling its strategic objectives
  • Fortitude – by persisting throughout challenges, Nweti is built on a solid foundation of incredible belief & attitude that is directed towards overcoming any obstacles. All of this is backed by proper planning and resourcing to achieve success.

Through the aforesaid foresight and fortitude that Mr. Ndlovu has decided to expand the construction business to focus on other segments within the value chain and to diversify into Properties and Investments in the short to medium term. It is Mr. Ndlovu’s belief that his strategy will help Nweti to “box smarter” and continue to remain relevant in a changing and challenging industry.
